About AACE

Who We Are

With 7,000 members in 100 countries, AACE International has been serving the total cost management community since 1956. We are committed to the constructive exchange of ideas between members, development of technical guidance and quality education and recognition of subject matter experts. Our members work in a variety of disciplines and across all industries.

For over 40 years AACE has been certifying individuals. We offer the following certifications: Certified Cost Professional (CCP), Certified Cost Technician (CCT), Certified Estimating Professional (CEP), Certified Forensic Claims Consultant (CFCC), Earned Value Professional (EVP), Decision and Risk Management Professional (DRMP), Certified Scheduling Technician (CST) and Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP). AACE’s CCP, CCT, CEP, CST, EVP, and PSP certifications are independently accredited by the Council of Engineering and Scientific Specialty Boards.

What Does "AACE" Stand For?

The legal name since 1992 is AACE International. In 1956 the organization was established as the American Association of Cost Engineers. While you may have seen that “AACE” stands for the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering, this is only a statement that encompasses the work of the Association, not a legal name.

New, Fun, and Interactive Team Building Activity at the 2019 Conference & Expo

by Jennie Amos | Mar 18, 2019

ChainReaction01We are always looking for ways to make the Conference & Expo more fun while increasing networking opportunities. The Chain Reaction optional team building and networking event is just the answer!

Chain Reaction will be held on Sunday morning, June 16. This unique event is scheduled so that you can have a networking continental breakfast, collaborate and compete in the morning, grab a to-go lunch, and still get to the first technical session on time. (Both meals are included in the price.)

If your company sends 5 or more people, we are happy to offer a group discount of $50 off the registration price.

Registrants earn continuing education units (CEUs) to help toward required recertification credits for certifications that they may already hold.

Go here to check out a video from TeamBonding showing a taste of the Chain Reaction activity.

C1: Chain Reaction (a team building and networking event)

Maybe you’ve experienced some sort of “team building” activity in your past. Odds are, it was forced and awkward. Probably even boring. Yeah, we get it – we’d been through a few of those ourselves. Enough to be certain that there had to be a better way. TeamBonding is the result.

Fresh, exciting, strategically-focused fun is what clients want from us, and that’s exactly what they get. For Fortune 500 companies and smallish non-profits, for start-ups and universities, our remarkable facilitators have delivered literally thousands of team building events around the globe

Description and Learning Objectives

Chain Reaction is full of hands on action designed to get teams thinking out of the box, being resourceful and solution focused. Inspired by a true original, Rube Goldberg, a Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist, who leveraged his engineering background to dream up wacky, delightfully overcomplicated machines. Rube Goldberg's unique vision inspired this, on of Team Bonding's favorite events for unleashing creativity and team collaboration. The Chain Reaction Challenge is an exhilarating, high-energy collaborative team building event combining strategy, imagination, and plenty of hands-on action.

Split up into smaller groups, your team will be collaborating, designing, planning, and building their own crazy contraptions. Succeeding in teh Chain Reaction Challenge requires troubleshooting and clear communication, plus the ability to think way outside the box.
