For over 40 years AACE has been certifying individuals. We offer the following certifications: Certified Cost Professional (CCP), Certified Cost Technician (CCT), Certified Estimating Professional (CEP), Certified Forensic Claims Consultant (CFCC), Earned Value Professional (EVP), Decision and Risk Management Professional (DRMP), Certified Scheduling Technician (CST) and Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP). AACE’s CCP, CCT, CEP, CST, EVP, and PSP certifications are independently accredited by the Council of Engineering and Scientific Specialty Boards.

What Does "AACE" Stand For?

The legal name since 1992 is AACE International. In 1956 the organization was established as the American Association of Cost Engineers. While you may have seen that “AACE” stands for the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering, this is only a statement that encompasses the work of the Association, not a legal name.

Justin Newton, the executive in charge of project management, planning, and controls at Walt Disney Imagineering, will be giving the Tuesday Keynote Address at the 2017 Annual Meeting. The Tuesday Keynote Session is a new feature to the Annual Meeting.

Walt Disney Imagineering is the creative engine of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts that dreams up, designs and builds all Disney theme parks, resorts, cruise ships, attractions, shows and spectaculars around the world. In his role, Justin provides global leadership for the Project Management Studio and is responsible for innovation, process improvement, risk management, casting, talent development, and cost and schedule certainty. Since joining WDI in 2015, Justin has supported a number of major projects that include initiatives related to the Avatar and Star Wars franchises.

Prior to joining Imagineering Justin worked at Fluor Corporation, where he led domestic and international projects while developing talent, practices and standards, and other discipline initiatives. He holds a degree in industrial and systems engineering from the University of Southern California.

Registration is now open for the 2017 Annual Meeting, which will be hosted at the Hyatt Regency Orlando, June 11-14, 2017.  Join professionals from across the globe for the premiere event on total cost management where you’ll learn from the innovative work of peers, national, and international leaders. This is a great chance to gain insight into current tools and techniques used by industry leaders in managing and controlling projects and programs. Return with takeaways to put these principles into practice.

The Annual Meeting will also feature a variety of networking events, over 100 hours of peer-reviewed technical paper presentations, and an exhibition hall.  The Opening Keynote Address on Monday will be given by Frank Abagnale, author and subject of Catch Me If You Can

As always, members receive the best rate. If you register for more than one seminar or a seminar and the Annual Meeting, joining AACE will not only save you money on the registration, but you’ll get all of the benefits of membership.
