ABSTRACT:
Construction projects often experience changes during the period of performance, which typically require the contractor to quantify impacts to negotiate change orders. Time impact analysis (TIA) is a recognized modeling technique that can be used prospectively to quantify impacts prior to changed work being performed. This session will identify when it is appropriate to utilize a TIA during the project to negotiate change orders and will provide guidelines for properly implementing this modeling technique.
ABOUT THE PRESENTERS:
Dr. Nour Bouhou has more than 8 years of experience in the architectural, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. As a construction consultant at Spire Consulting Group, she provides scheduling and change order evaluation services on large scale mixed used projects as well as military projects requiring DoD cost-loaded schedule reporting and time impact analysis requirement. In claims situations, she assists with schedule delay analyses, productivity impact assessments, and damages quantification. She is currently the secretary of the San Francisco Bay Area Section of AACE.
Kate Hull, a Managing Consultant at Spire Consulting Group, has 10 years of experience in both the public and private sectors of architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry. She provides cost estimating, risk identification and management, change order analysis and scheduling services on complex construction projects ranging from healthcare and mixed-use of DoD agencies with cost loaded schedule and earned value management requirements. She provides schedule delay analyses, productivity impact analyses, changed work evaluations and damages quantifications. Kate has served on the AACE International Education Board and is on the Board of Directors for the Society of Women Engineers.
