Husain joined AACE in 2011 and started volunteering before he was even a member, conducting informational sessions about AACE and its certifications to graduate students in his MBA program. As an official volunteer, he was an exam proctor and joined the Arabian Gulf Section (elected president in 2015). He was elected as an AACE International Regional Director in 2016 and served on the Marketing Board starting in 2018. Recently, he worked closely with two Saudi Arabian government entities for more than a year to get the CCP, CEP, and PSP certifications recognized by the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF). Saudi citizens are now eligible to have their exam and training fees refunded by the HRDF.
Husain lives in Saudi Arabia and is married with two children. He graduated from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals with a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, a master’s in construction management, and an MBA. He was the founder and general manager of GTSC. Husain has visited 34 countries – traveling is a top hobby, as is reading.
One major reason why Husain volunteers for AACE is to promote Saudi Arabia and the international community. “I never stop learning and teaching others, I like supporting other members and see the cooperation between them… During the last 10 years with AACE, I got a chance to meet and work with different levels of people (owners, CEOs, VPs, engineers, professors, students) around the world… There are no limits to volunteer work. One day, I was more than glad when I was called ‘AACE ambassador!’ by the CEO of AACE, I am very proud of this title.”
Thank you, Husain!!
