AACE International is announcing a change to the Annual Meeting, what is that change? The name. As AACE International expands so did its events. In 2018 AACE International is breaking up with the Annual Meeting, and has found the AACE International Conference & Expo. AACE hopes you are as excited as they are to start this new journey. Here’s how AACE broke the news to the Annual Meeting:

"Dear Annual Meeting,

I am not sure how to begin this letter, but I feel like we need to talk. I have been thinking about us lately - about what we used to be. I thought we would be together forever; but things change, people change, meetings change and grow into a conference and expo. You just don’t mean what you used to. My members and attendees need something that actually communicates what goes on at the annual event in June, not downplaying the size or importance of attending. With our enriching technical sessions, exhibits, seminars, and networking events we needed you to be bigger than just a ‘meeting’.

Annual Meeting, I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately, and I don’t want to hurt you, but I feel like it’s the best move for me at this time. Since I was a new association, back in 1956, when we first met I thought we were going to be together for the rest of our lives. We worked so well for so long making some of the best memories. But that’s all in the past. The future is bright for me and as the times changed so did I.

I want you to know that the last 62 years we’ve been together has been the best years of my life. Remember our first meeting in New Hampshire? We never dreamed we would be where we are today. Together we grew into something more than ourselves.  I have been working hard to progress through the adding technical products, developing educational materials, certifying individuals, and updating the website including giving members a new platform via the Communities so they can better network with one another. I gave you time and a chance to change and you didn’t.

The AACE International Conference & Expo can give me everything you lack. We work so well together. Our members and attendees will know they are getting more than a meeting, but a conference. With all of the amazing technical sessions, exhibits, seminars, and networking events of the Annual Meeting; but better.
