Forums

The Forums are designed to encourage the exchange of thoughts and ideas, through posting questions and discussing topics. They provide a great means for networking with your peers, and for professional development. Participate anytime at your convenience and receive automatic e-mail notifications on topics that are of interest to you. With several thousand users, if you have questions or concerns about a technical subject, program, or project - the forums are a great resource for you.

Technical Subcommittees

AACE's Technical Subcommittees are segmented into specific functional areas and provide an online network of members to discuss ideas and to help AACE build its vast body of knowledge. The Chairs and Co-Chairs of the Technical subcommittees are approved by the Technical Board and they report directly to the Technical subcommittee Division Director, who is a member of the Technical Board. There are no additional charges for your participation in AACE’s Technical subcommittees. You must, however, create a user account on AACE’s Forums to fully participate in any of these online communities.

 

Special Interest Groups (SIGs)

The SIGs are devoted to a specific industry area and provide an online network of members to discuss ideas and help AACE expand its body of knowledge. The Chairs of the SIGs are approved by the Technical Board and they report directly to the Special Interest Group Division Director, who is a member of the Technical Board. There are no additional charges for your participation in AACE’s SIGs. You must, however, create a user account on AACE’s Forums to participate in any of these online communities.

 

Rising Professionals Committee

The Rising Professionals Committee (RPC) is a gathering spot to encourage and mentor the younger members in the total cost management profession. The RPC is responsible for defining a program which will create interest for young professionals to join and become active in AACE. The Chair is appointed by the Board of Directors and his/her term, as well as the RPC members’ terms run concurrent with the term of the President.

 

Women in Project Controls Committee

The Women in Project Controls (WPC) Committee was created to encourage and mentor the growing number of women entering the cost and management profession – and AACE. The WPC is responsible for defining a program which will create interest for women to join and become active in the Association. The Chair is appointed by the Board of Directors and her term, as well as the committee members’ terms run concurrent with the term of the President.

 

Volunteer Opportunities

AACE offers its members a number of additional volunteer opportunities depending on your expertise and skills. Some volunteer opportunities are on the micro-volunteer level which require smaller amounts of time and effort while others are roles that required more from the member. You can help shape the profession through your involvement in AACE - and gain professional development and expertise as you grow with us.
